Invited Address - Creative Partnerships, Innovative Practice David Droga, founder of Droga5 and the creator of the Million campaign The Million project is part of a program in New York City designed to improve school attendance and achievement among disadvantaged children based around the prolific use of mobile phones by youth. The phones were used to help students internalise connections between education and success by teachers scoring students in key areas such as attendance, behaviour and class performance. Based on those scores, students earned points which could then be converted into free talk time, text messaging, music downloads and shopping discounts. |
